I had to force myself not to work on the yard today. My RSI hand is killing me. Has been since I began the battle of the bittersweet. Typing hurts too, but am doing it anyway.

I spent a long time talking with Tom and Ned at Starbucks. I've been working on some research for a novel that Ned is writing. He had asked me a week or so ago about what animals were around in North America when the ice started to recede, so I put together a packet of stuff for him.

I'm beginning to think I'd be more interested in being Ned's research assistant than in writing my own novel.

I still have that "I'm not Vikram Seth by a longshot" feeling from last night.
